  • Come along and be a part of history!  A picture history of the high street – Runnymede Borough Council Saturday 4 June – Visit Guildford Street in Chertsey and take a stroll down memory lane. Images from our archives will adorn the local shops giving a tantalising glimpse into the town at the time of the Coronation. Do you or your family remember what it was like back then? Come and have a chat with our museum staff, and record your memories for posterity. At 12 noon we will be taking a photo of the street full of people to add to our archives in a new publication to mark the event.
