Egham Museum

Established in 1968, The Egham Museum is an independent, community museum and registered charity reliant on volunteers. Through our exhibitions, outreach programmes and innovative use of our collections, we provide for our local communities and visitors a centre of life-long learning dedicated to raising awareness, sharing knowledge and promoting enjoyment of history.

Children & Families

As well as a regular special events for families, the permanent Family Corner in the museum which children and their adults can use to explore the stories we tell. You can dress up as a World War One nurse or a medieval knight, take on the challenge of our Bronze Age Dig or get your hands on items from the collection and try to guess what they might be. There are also short films for you to watch.

Schools & Teachers

The team are able to offer sessions tailored to your topic or project for up to 60 children at a time. Previous sessions have included KS2 Local History Studies and Geography-focussed sessions on indentifying human and physical characteristics of the local area. We also offer a pop-up exhibition space for project based learning modules.
