Look Who's Wheeling into Town

Roamin’ Rex is back—and he’s celebrating 10 years of time-travelling adventures!
If you’ve got curious young explorers aged 5–11 who love collecting things and discovering the past, then this Summer is the perfect time to join the hunt for Roamin’ Rex. He’s been spotted across Surrey’s museums and galleries, where families can follow in his footsteps—or bike tracks—through time.
From fossils to fashion, Surrey’s museums are packed with fascinating collections that bring history to life. Last summer, Roamin’ Rex landed in Surrey after years of travelling through time—roaming with cavemen, marching with Romans, farming with 16th-century villagers, and cycling through the Victorian era.
Now, he’s inviting you to explore the stories and treasures he’s uncovered at these amazing venues:
- Ash Museum
- Bourne Hall Museum
- Chertsey Museum
- East Surrey Museum
- Elmbridge Museum
- Godalming Museum
- Guildford Museum
- Haslemere Educational Museum
- Museum of Farnham
- Ripley Museum
- Rural Life Living Museum
- The Sime Gallery
- Watts Gallery: Artist’s Village
